My wife and I have been invited to an estate sale that one of our neighbors told us about that wasn’t too far from us. When they called us about it, they told us to get there fast because they were giving stuff away. They had been selling things for a couple of days, and they decided they were sick of it and they were just going to give everything left for FREE and take the rest to the Goodwill.
So we hurried down there as fast as we could and we found electronics, tools, DVDs, automotive hardware, power tools, a snowblower, furniture, motorcycle parts, automotive books, kitchenware, tons of stuff was left over!!!!
We also found a little coffee maker that’s perfect for travel!!! But you NEVER know what you may find at ANY garage, estate sale, or thrift store! We are always trying to comb the ads to see what estate or garage sales are on in the area. ALWAYS keep your eyes out for deals, they are everywhere. And if you hit estate sales on the last day, everything is usually marked 1/2 off, and you can also wheel and deal with them a lot more. But, occasionally you get lucky like this situation was.
We also found a 14 ft. tall aluminum ladder, a NEW key cutting machine, an electric carving tool, an 8-inch circ saw a vintage bumper jack, tons of misc. bolt bins full of coax connections, hinges, door hardware and locks, office supplies like desk locks, an office printer with 4 extra ink cartridges. We got a lot of automotive light bulbs. This guy had been a big-time Handyman like me! he was also a Chevy man!
You just never know what you will find at the weirdest places and times. It can be rewarding or a bust, but you just have to be patient. We had a lot of fun at this sale. We didn’t have any room for the 14-ft. ladder, so we sold it and made $135 off of it! The bumper jack was as perfect as new for a ’66 Oldsmobile Toronado. It looked like it came through a time from 1966 to 2017! I may sell it at some time or I might keep it. The circ saw I will keep, it’s a Skil. The electric dremel is Harbor Freight, I already have one so I will sell it for sure.
Getting all the automotive items in the haul is crazy awesome! This will save me lots of money on bulbs for my Lil’ Chevy truck. There’s plenty for my truck and my wife’s Oldsmobile. I even got those little plastic nuts that go into your bumpers for the mounting license plate in your car’s bumper. A whole big drawer of them! Money savings! I also got fuses, glass, and blade, we also got ourselves a Sony multi-function DVD recorder that records ANY DVD, video, photo, film, and camcorder to DVD. very nice haul right. YAY!
