Storage cabinet from friends (more freebies)

Storage cabinet from friends (more freebies)

October 18, 2018 Tips & Tricks

I had this storage cabinet brought to me by great friends that we have met since we’ve lived here in our current place. Our friends were cleaning out an apartment not too far away from us. Someone had moved out and left a whole bunch of their stuff behind. So as they were cleaning, they came across a whole bunch of tools and misc.  So they thought of me. They knew I am a freak for that sort of thing, plus I am close by, so they brought me a huge cache of stuff! There was a 1/4 inch drive Black and Decker drill, lots of various sizes of wrenches, misc sizes and types of screwdrivers, paint rollers and brushes, coax cables and connecting hardware & hanging clips, a couple of ropes, 2-claw hammers, light bulbs for chandeliers, Desk drawer tracks, PVC cutters, 3 different types of gloves, gardening, leather, and neoprene gloves. A couple of tape measures, 3 automotive test lights, automotive bulbs, metric sockets, a couple of Torx bit sockets, 2 Ratchets, 6 pinch clamps, a battery wrench, Pittsburgh pipe wrenches, bungee cords, mounting hooks of all types, (even vintage) there was even gardening tools. Construction hardware is the best way I can describe the boxes of screws in this cabinet.

I was amazed at how much other hardware was in this! There was so much stuff that it would take me 2 more pages to list it all. But wow! There was so much stuff!!!! I love my friends!!! So what did I do with all that stuff? Well, we had a great neighbor that lived in our complex that didn’t have much for tools. He would come and borrow tools from me quite often, but he was always so good to get them back to me as soon as he was through. We loved him and his family. So we bought him a new carry toolbox from Home Depot and I went through all of this stuff and filled it with as much as we could, it was nice.

This felt like an early Christmas for me! I also kept the electric drill, it needs a little fixing. Maybe lubing. I will show how to take care of and fix electrical tool repairs in future posts.
